Mira Wines is a private, Boutique Vineyard in Pokolbin , Hunter Valley and is by appointment only.
They are Kiros and Ana, a husband and wife team who until recently, like many Greek Australians, made wine in their garage. Early on, there were many hit and miss vintages, depending on what grapes arrived at Flemington markets each year.
They decided to take our passion a little further, this time , out of Sydney and into Hunter Valley Wine country. They wanted to be hands on, to know and grow the fruit that would become their wine.
They are among a group of small family vineyard owners and winemakers with an immense passion for their wines . Properties like their typically produce 1000-3000 bottles each year. That is just 120-250 cases each vintage. The vineyard is singularly hand pruned and cared for by the two of them. The spraying is contracted out to a very experienced and capable local.

Such a wonderful place to visit. The owners will spoil you with snacks and the wine is delicious and made with love. Truly a hidden gem.

If not for our tour guide we would never have ended up here. Anna and Kiros have a unique way of looking after guests that makes this more than a tasting. I like my reds and they did not disappoint.

My partner and I went on a tour and we were so lucky the tour brought us here, Kiros and Ana were so kind and the wine was the best of the whole weekend. I am constantly recommending to all my friends and family, if you're going to the Hunter Valley, you best stop by.

Fantastic experience here as always. The tasting is run from the back veranda of the couples house so it feels like popping over to a friends for drinks. Not a huge range, but don't let that put you off, they have perfected everything they produce.

Absolutely fantastic winery! The couple that run it are such lovely people. They serve you a cheese board featuring olives and chutney they made, and they have a down-to-earth chat with you as you enjoy their delicious wines. This was the highlight of our wine tour.
Definitely recommend. Thanks for such a great time!
