Meerea Park Wines

2144 Broke Rd, Pokolbin NSW 2320

Meerea Park has established a reputation over the last decade as one of the leading wine producers in the Hunter Valley, winning at least one Gold medal at every Hunter Valley wine show since 2002, a feat only enjoyed by a handful of Hunter Valley producers.

Meerea Park, while taking a modern approach to wine making, can trace its wine making roots in the Hunter Valley back to the 1860's when Alexander Munro, their great-great-grandfather established the 'Bebeah' vineyard at Singleton.'

Their 'Individual Vineyard' range labels bear the image of an ornate drinking fountain and gas street lamp that Alexander Munro commissioned, had made in Scotland and then shipped to Singleton in the Hunter Valley. He donated it to the town upon his retirement as Singleton's first mayor.

Meerea Park has enjoyed consistent wine show success at national and international level.

I didn't believe in the low ratings but they were right! And the wine tastes cheap.

The man interacting with us is the co-owner. He shows zero friendliness. To be sympathetic he looks like he was going through some personal issues, but looking at the reviews from a few years ago this is more like a constant - he is just not suitable for a job that deals with customers.

If you don't want to pay someone to pour you a serving of poor attitude and sub-standard service, then don't waste your time at the Meerea Park Wines.

Oh, and the wine tastes cheap.

Very rude and condescending service from the guy behind the counter. Heaps of better and more accommodating wineries nearby. Won't return, won't recommend.

Over the week we spent touring the wineries in the region this was the stand out for our entire party and it was not even on our list to check out. We were at the Roche complex waiting for the cheese place to open so we decided we would try one of the cellars doors. As we walked past this one a dog basically come out snuggled up to us and lured us in. The staff were great the wines were good it was the perfect tasting. Needless to say a couple dozen of their wines now hold pride of place in our cellar.

Luke was excellent! His knowledge of the wine and winery history made for engaging conversation. Overall the quality of the wines were fantastic and we purchased more than we had originally expected to. Highly recommend to any wine connoisseur or anyone looking to broaden their palate. Thank you again Luke for a fantastic experience. We look forward to visiting again next time we are in the Hunter - Jess and Pat
