We visited Horner Wines yesterday in Hunter Valley and thoroughly enjoyed all wines, really impressive and the best we had tasted in the area. The friendly and genuine service from Ash and his partner was lovely and the effort they put in clearly shows in their excellent wines and a beautiful winery to visit.

Audrey Wilkinson Winery has lovely views, Brokenwood had delicious food, Tyrell's had interesting history and breadth but Horner's had the most welcoming and relaxed tasting and simply delicious wines

We really loved the genuine and authentic approach to Ash's winemaking creating the wines he loves rather than forced into Semillion and Shiraz like the rest of the Hunter (although fair enough as it is a bloody great Semillion and Shiraz region 😊).

We loved the Picpoul and the Shiraz Viognier particularly but all the wines were so accessible and beautifully balanced.

If you're ever in the Hunter Valley, we highly recommend a tasting at Horners. It's not a restaurant or Cafe but a really nice genuine tasting at a small parcel cellar door. Ash even took our family to have a look at where the magic happens. Great experience for the kids (and us too!!).
