The Degen Vineyard, Cellar Door and luxury Vine Stay is a fresh addition to the Hunter's prized Single Vineyard offerings and provides a personalised approach to cellar door hospitality and vineyard stays on their 54 acre property here in Pokolbin.
Degen Wines are 100 percent Hunter Valley, Single Vineyard wines made traditionally and matured in French and American Oak barriques.

They specialise in the Hunter's highly acclaimed wine styles of Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz grown exclusively from their Single Vineyard.

Their collection, made from 2005 - 2017 Vintages, some of which have been carefully aged, are only released when they feel they are ready to be shared.

A beautiful experience.

Jean Degen welcomed us and walked us through the wine tasting, sharing her impressive knowledge and stunning wines.

The tasting included a range of elegant, balanced wines, paired with a delicious selection of local labneh, local olives and a warm blini. ðŸ'Œ

We look forward to coming back to this beautiful estate to enjoy this experience and Jean's hospitality again. Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic tasting experience at the Degen Estate! Their wines are top notch with the Chardonnay being the highlight for us. Aged in French Oak barrels, these are special with amazing flavours and a distinct taste that stands out within most Hunter chardonnays.
The tasting platter was perfect with labne and seafood complementing the classic semillion and the sparkling chardonnay blends

Had a wonderful experience at Degen in June 2021. It's too bad that some reviews are giving 1 star because they were given incorrect info (possibly via a 3rd party?) about bookings and then not able to visit. My husband returns every year because he and his group love it. A booking is definitely needed. Let all the reviews of the people who have booked and gone there speak. It's a really special wine tasting experience.
