Wombat Crossing Vineyard

Wombat Crossing Vineyard

530 Hermitage Rd, Pokolbin NSW 2320

Wombat Crossing Vineyard is one of the smallest premium wineries in the Hunter Valley with 4 hectares under vines, first planted in 1994. They make award winning table wines only from the grapes grown on our property: Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz.

They offer personalised wine tasting in a beautiful garden setting, being served by those who work in the vineyard. A portion of our tasting fee is donated to Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue. And yes, we do have wombats on their property.

Their wines are exclusively available from the Cellar Door or through their website.

There's something very special about being able to see the actual vines that produced the wine you're sampling at the cellar door. This small vineyard has only a few wines, however they excel in quality. The cellar door isn't pretentious, it speaks of practically.... After all, it's about the wine. The cellar door manager is friendly and delivers a knowledgeable presentation of the wine, and the vineyard.
Definitely worth a visit to discover the unique qualities of a single vineyard wine.

Lovely small, personal vineyard. Loved the name & support for wombats (my favourite). The wine was most enjoyable and looking forward to returning to have a relaxing time trying the wines again. The grounds are spectacular. Love that they have no bus tours.

My partner and I had a lovely wine tasting at Wombat Crossing. Simon was so friendly and was happy to answer all our questions and let us take our time. It was a fantastic personal and quiet wine tasting, with delicious wines! Would highly recommend stopping by here if you visit the Hunter.

Found this place through a Google search. Lovely little single vineyard winery. Intimate and personal tasting, lovely wines and so nice to see a business supporting native wildlife.
