Hastwell & Lightfoot is one of McLaren Vale's most exciting and innovative winegrowers. Since planting their 16 hectares of vines in the deep sands of McLaren Vale's Foggo Road in 1988, they have continued to push their winegrowing frontiers. The winery is now under the guidance of second generation family members James Hastwell - Winemaker and his cousin Kishan Sidhu - General Manager. Their youthful exuberance is evident in the innovation and development of H&L's wines through new varieties, new livery, and a new passion to showcase their wines. Enjoy their award-winning McLaren Vale wines at the H&L Cellar Door in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Take in the views of the vines as you unwind on the front deck with a wine flight and one of 'SA's Best Platters' (as awarded by Adelady) or settle in on one of the Chesterfield by the fire - you could definitely spend an afternoon here. We came across H&L due to having a Great State Experiences voucher. WOW! We had a great experience alright! The host is welcoming and inquisitive and very knowledgeable. His tasting tips really opened our eyes and taste buds. The whole experience was thoughtful and engaging. The platters were outstanding and we bought a couple of bottles to take away.

Hastwell & Lightfoot have an excellent range of elegant wines.
Kishan expertly walked us through the tasting process with his great knowledge & passsion for H&L wines.
Well worth the visit & I can strongly recommend the lunch platter.

Enjoyed a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon with family at this lovely cellar door.
The hosts Kishan and Anisha were super warm and friendly especially in handling our kid.
The wine flight was an awesome experience, quite different from any other we have had before. They knew their wine and were very patient in dealing them out.
The facilities are superb with great indoors and outdoors. Their long cheese board was perfect for us!
Ample parking spaces and a newly renovated function centre makes this an absolute delight.
We bought some bottles of their choicest offering too!
Highly recommended!
