The heritage-listed (1866) March Public Schoolhouse is the home of Mortimer's family wines Cellar Door. You will likely find Peter and his family serving their award-winning wines in the beautiful schoolhouse setting. Enjoy the summer in the sunshine of the garden courtyard or winter nestled in front of the schoolhouse fireplace. They have a large range of quality cool climate wines to enjoy with delicious cheese platters available to purchase. You'll will often find local artists performing at Mortimer's cellar door for an afternoon of food, wine and live music, along with a playground for the kids.

If you are staying in the Canopy Loft or Studio accommodation, then it is a short walk from the cellar door through the vines where you can relax with your own fire-pit overlooking the Chardonnay.

We hired a beautiful fire pit area that was so relaxing and had the most wonderful experience. The staff were all lovely and very friendly. The wines were some of the best tasting I have had. The bonus of the playground made for a very leisurely Saturday afternoon. Will definitely be back!

Amazing wine tasting experience. Very knowledgeable and informative tasting and the wines are absolutely divine. So worth a visit and great meeting Peter Mortimer himself. A must visit while in Orange.

Such a lovely winery experience! It felt very homely and Casey and Peter really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Really recommend it for people looking for a more intimate winery experience and some amazing wines. Thank you Mortimers :)

Recently visited this winery and was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff and down to earth who didn't rush us and spent plenty of time going through their wines. The wine tasting process was a great experience.
They have premium wines at good prices. Peter and his son Daniel were great hosts.
We walked away with a box full of beautiful wines. We will definitely be ordering again soon as I can see us drinking these wines quickly - too good to resist.
Highly recommend and definitely worth visiting them when in Orange - you definitely won't be disappointed.

I loved the environment of the cellar door and the bonfire they had outside. It's rustic and very pleasant. However, we got there on a bit of a rush hour and it felt like everyone was rushing a bit, but trying their best to serve everyone. Compared to other vineyards we visited, the wines didn't stand out for my taste and that's the reason I'm giving this rating.
