We stayed on the campsite and enjoyed a wine tasting at Cargo Road Winery. It was winter and the camping was cold, but the wines and hospitality of James kept us warm!
We had an amazing time and would recommend this place to everyone passing by or looking for a place to camp on a vineyard.

Third tasting of the day and by far the best with the most reasonable prices.

We found Cargo Road Wines as they had on site camping available. James was very hospitable as it was very last minute. We stayed the night right near the vineyard and woke up to the beautiful views and the sun shining. Now to the most important part, the wine! "Big reds" could not be more right. The reds are fabulous and the whites just as good. It was great to hear about James' history with Cargo Road Wines. Plus Mina the pup was gorgeous!

The only good thing about this place was the super friendly dog. Other than that, nah. I had so much better experiences at other wineries and tasting tour than this. We even had to wait for 10 minutes to pay until the owner finished chitchat with someone right in front of us. My friend was going to buy more than a few bottles of wine, and she gave up to buying. We left with unpleasant feelings. Not recommended.

Looking for a picturesque simple lunch, my family and I enjoyed wonderful views of the hills and the vines and fabulous hot bowls of various vegetarian ravioli on the deck. Matched with a cracking large glass of Zinfandel and a gentle whippet snoozing under the table. Unassuming, lovely service, and a well-priced half-mixed dozen to try at home.
