Mead is made by fermenting pure Australian Honey using a method as old as history, to a recipe perfected over time.
Some believe cave men accidentally discovered mead when tasting honeycomb that had been in contact with water.
It is believed that between 2,000 and 5,000 years ago the Egyptian, Greek and Roman empires made mead by fermenting honey and water with yeast. The Vikings called mead the Honeymoon drink, believing mead to be an aphrodisiac. Whatever the myth, it is something that will be embedded in your memory forever.

I really like this place, you can taste different types of honey in here. They also offer wines and non-alcoholic drinks made from honey which are awesome! They sell souvenirs, skin cares from honey. One thing you must try is their honey ice cream! But the ice cream has egg ingredients so be careful if you are allergic to eggs.

Very busy, but excellent service.
The ladies behind the counter were lovely on Sunday.
Definitely worth visiting.
It was wonderful that you could taste all the honeys and the tubs of honey are very reasonably priced.
The strawberry honey and the cinnamon honey were our favourites!

This is a great little place to visit in Mudgee.
It has a wide range of honey products there's literally something for everyone here.
The prices are reasonable too.
The lady that served us was lovely and friendly and made our visit enjoyable.
We will definitely be back for more goodies in the near future.
Highly recommend you stop here.

Love Honey Haven. My wife and I travel to Mudgee regularly and treat Mudgee like our second home. Staff at Honey Haven about count us as regulars. Great place for tourist to stop by, for all your bee and Honey products, as well as grabbing a bite to eat at the Cafe and a coffee. The scones with fresh cream and fresh jam is a must.

Great selection of honey to taste. Coffee was good. However the Honey Liquor and mead was only ordinary, nowhere near as good as krupnikas. Still worth a visit though.
