We dropped-in for a wine tasting and were really impressed. Our host, Emma, was generous with her time and attention. She made the effort to find out what we might enjoy most, as well as surprise us with some wines we weren't familiar with. I just had to leave behind a sketch of the beautiful gardens to say thanks for the hospitality.

A beautiful winery with stunning views and some cute animals to see too! Jodi is a must try and buy! It was a little too cool for a picnic on the grass but we still enjoyed the platter and tasting inside in the quirky stylish barn. Would visit Lowe wines again for sure!

We were in a large group with kids and everyone enjoyed the visit. The farm animals were partly in hiding, but the ones we could find excited the kids. There is a lovely big swing you can sit on for a photo opp, there were outdoor ten pin bowls, and lots of places to sit to enjoy food or wine. I don't know if they allow you to bring outside food but if they do, definitely plan a visit here. We weren't able to taste wine because we hadn't booked, but that is happening at many wineries in Mudgee now.

We arrived with a group of friends and saw there were many tables available. We sat down on a table and my husband went and bought 2 picnic boxes and 2 bottles of wine. We told the waiter where we were sitting. After about 10 mins a lady came and told us we have to leave the table because they had a booking and the table was taken. We were told we couldn't sit on a table on the white pebbles but could sit anywhere else. Had we been instructed from the beginning or there was a "reserve sign" or any sign for that matter we would have known . But this place has no processes in place. People are expected to know what is reserved and where you can sit.
When I told the lady as a suggestion maybe put a reserved sign on tables that are reserved. She proceeded to tell me that they get over 400 visitors a day and this happens a lot. So if this happens "a lot" a very simple solution would be to mark reserved tables. Not that hard to do . You told a group of 7 people to leave after spending over $300 and replaced us with 3 people and a dog !! Makes good business sense. Won't be going back. Learn how to treat people.

We popped in during the Mudgee Classic weekend. No reservation, but they were able to accommodate us. Everyone was lovely.
We ended up tasting wine and chatting with Saxon about the winery, organic farming, their restaurant, climate change and sailing. Had a fantastic time and bought nice wine to bring back to Sydney.
