We came across the Battle about 18 months ago while camping out in our caravan in McLaren Vale. We fell in love first sight, although I remember this winery in the 'old days'. After a week tasting in the region, we dropped the gimmicky places and became members of the 1485 club. What a wonderful experience every time we open a bottle. We love Jock's winemaking skills, taste the earth, sun and craftsmanship in every glass. YUM! Young Puritan for a lunch date with friends, White Boar for more serious business. Then again, we keep their other Shiraz close by. Love the Chardonnay ( super drop) and the 4 o'clock somewhat lighter one must be drunk at 4.... Overall, great true winery experience. No frills, no people in long aprons, loads of info on the wines, great staff! Jock and Louise please keep your winery this way. Our doggy is welcome there too which is a real bonus. We feel so welcome online and in real person. Your wines are second to none. Cheers xx

We discovered the Battle of Bosworth and Spring Seed Wines Cellar Door during our visit to McLaren Vale and have been absolutely delighted with our experience. Our host Kelly was super knowledgeable about the estate and the large range of wines on offer.

We enjoyed a long tasting and discussion, which culminated in us joining their 1485 Wine club and taking home a case of the 2021 Rose. We also got to meet Joch the owner who was happy to chat, and the lovely dog who came in for cuddles by the fire.

Highly recommend this beautiful organic vineyard and cellar door and we are so happy to be able to enjoy these wines direct from the winemaker with our new membership ðŸ'š 🌼

The cellar door at Battle of Bosworth is really lovely. It's an old cottage in amongst the vines. I love the Spring Seed 4 o'clock chardonnay and the Battle of Bosworth reds. The spring seed labels are gorgeous. The staff are happy, friendly and very helpful.

Dropped in for a tasting and boy oh boy, what a great time we all had. Amazing, down to earth staff, terrific wines and ample tastings. Walked out with a mixed case of wine off to home towns and couldn't be happier.

An absolute must to visit when in the area! You cannot miss this place. The wine is divine and the cellar door so lovely. Battle of Bosworth was the first place on our itinerary, we bought a couple of bottles, completely sold on the flavours. Went on to try other cellar doors, but at the end of the day we ended up back here simply because it was the best. We had to come back for more wine. Can only recommend!
