Whistler Wines is nestled within the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. The winery is family-owned and operated, producing Estate grown wines with seven grape varieties.

Grape growing has been part of the Pfeiffer family way of life for four generations. Whistler was founded by Sally & Martin Pfeiffer. Formerly, Martin oversaw the viticulture program for the iconic Penfolds brand and was fortunate to obtain cuttings from the famous 'Grange' vineyards becoming 1st plantings on our estate in 1994. Now, with the next generation taking over, the vineyard is run using organic and biodynamic practices.

Whistler's Cellar Door, located on the iconic Seppeltsfield Road, is surrounded by native scrub with stunning vineyard views. It's the perfect setting to visit with family and enjoy a few wines & a platter. Join us from 10.30am to 5pm daily (closed Christmas Eve/Day and New Year's Eve/Day). Watch out for our special events.

We wanted a winery were we could take the kids, enjoy a glass of wine and have lunch. We got just that! The wine and waitress spot on and the the outdoor space was picturesque and had a swing set, kangaroos, peacocks and plenty of room. We also loved making our own platter. Thank for a enjoyable afternoon

It was a lovely place for adult's and children.
The grandchildren got to have a big adventure on swings and see real kangaroo's. I don't drink wine, but my family thoroughly enjoyed them

Very poor experience with a low energy vibe apparent on entrance. Excellent outlook, wine however, matched the service. Bland, unrefined & watered down. Consistently having to wait between pours, and when the server came, consistently spilled over the table. Feels like a winery that has no purpose other than to churn out bulk, low quality drops. Avoid.

I enjoy heading to the wineries, but when you have kids it can be a tad more tricky.
Whistler winery not only is a family owned business, but family friendly.
Now I've read a few reviews on this but didn't really know what they meant without any good details or pictures. So here it is:
There is a cute kids playground, with a swing set off to the side. There's plenty of space for mum n dad to sit at a nearby table (away from non- kid people) and enjoy a glass of wine. There's also plenty of space to put down a picnic rug.
Opposite the winery cottage there is a bunch of nature play trees for bigger kids to climb, and a cricket strip. But additionally there is a kangaroo enclosure, which kept my kids enthralled.

It's a very community vibe; with its picnic blankets and fairy lights over the grass assembly. Kids can be out of your hair while you have a relaxing afternoon.

This is probably the one winery I ended up buying 9 different types of wine to take home with me and this is by far one of my favourite winery in Barossa. Whistler is a family owned winery so you will get one of the best and the warmest customer service, and of course some of the best wines. They have a huge variety of wines to taste and so reasonably priced. Some of my favourites are their Shiraz, Grenache and sparking wine, absolutely amazing. I really recommend you check this place out.
