We had an amazing first wine tasting experience at Kies Family Wine when we arrived in the Barossa. Sam welcomed us in (we had no appointments) and gave us a tailored experience selecting wines based on our preferences. She gave us enough information about the wine but also just enjoyed the experience with us. She cared about our experience and I think went above and beyond setting the bar very high for our next couple of days of wine tasting. The quality of wines was also wonderful and our group purchased a few to take home as souvenirs. We also had the cheese platter to nibble on and it was delicious and paired well with their wines. Highly recommend you stop in for a wine tasting at this location!

The premises has been well set up with wine tasting at one end of the building and a Cafe at the other end.
The selection of wine, fortified wines, ports was very good and at reasonable prices. The food, drinks and coffee was very good.
This was evident of the number of people that were sampling the wines and almost a full Cafe.
There was under cover outside seating.
The staff were friendly and happy to help.
This winery is definitely worth a visit

We spent a lovely afternoon here tasting some great wines. The staff are very friendly, and knowledgeable, and they do have a lovely outdoor area if required. Our dog certainly enjoyed that rather than the car!!! While we didn't have the platter, as it's only done on certain days, it did look amazing, and would allow for a very relaxing afternoon.
Their Port is really nice, as are their red wines. Definitely would recommend a visit.

A must visit! We were in the Barossa for only 2 days & had only time for about 4-6 wineries whilst travelling with a toddler. After reading previous reviews we wanted to visit Kies as it was family oriented & really down to earth. The staff were amazing really friendly & accomodating & just great to talk to. There's a great history about the place. All their wines were so enjoyable. We left with 2 cases & will definitely be ordering more in the future. Yeah would highly recommend a visit!

Have had the pleasure of experiencing Kies Family Wines tasting room twice now. Both visits were lovely, but the second was extra special. My partner and I took a Barossa helicopter ride which included a tasting at Kies. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Jake. He was exceptional!! For those who are into the details of wine production and value discussion on flavour profiles, Jake is definitely one to ask for. Highly recommended Kies when planning a trip to or through the Barossa. Kies also have a cafe/restaurant attached to their tasting room (haven't attended it yet, but have heard good things).
