We had a fantastic experience at Horizon at 1837. The food, ambiance and service was second to none. Coming from Sydney the food here was also excellent value for money. We had the 3 course meal and were more than stuffed.
Our recommendations are the pork belly, prawns, mushroom risotto and Panna cotta!

First dining experience for me as a local and my friends from Adelaide. The welcome was warm and the staff was attentive. The food was good. There were a few minor issues with inexperienced staff but all in all a nice lunch, however marred by a couple of preventable issues.
At the end of our meal we ordered coffees. We waited a while until we were advised that as they were busy they didnt have time to serve coffee. Really? OK. Time to pay the bill. We were then advised 'no split bills'. Convenient for the owners but inconvienient for us (the customers). For me the service went from welcoming before lunch to a no care attitude after lunch. And the post lunch attitude by front line staff was a little hostile.
Not sure I will be returning

Excellent hospitality place in Barossa. This is the place we have been searching for. We love the wineries of the region and now we've found a place to eat. The owners and staff were friendly and the food was exceptional for the reasonable prices. The dining room boasts panoramic views of the vineyards and rolling barossa hills.
Next time, we look forward to visiting for dinner.

My husband and I just had dinner here and it's fantastic! Really lovely staff and ambiance and the food is simply excellent!
If you are visiting the Barossa or are lucky to live locally, then it's well worth a visit.
