Nice little winery run by a very friendly couple. Wine and a good chat. Love those places. Always feels good to meet nice people and support local business

We spent a wonderfully relaxed afternoon with the husband and wife winemakers at Rock Frog Grange where we were joined in conversation wholeheartedly by resident frogs and a couple of happy dogs who are my new best friends. The vibe was far more like an afternoon with likeminded friends than a typical wine tasting. We left with a bag of bottles and an experience that left me trying to come up with an excuse to go back and do it all over again.

We had a great chat with Di and Ross - and their dogs were fab company too. Recommend the port

A quiet little winery with a relaxed and casual tasting atmosphere. The tasting experience was more akin to sitting chatting with friends than being rushed through a list so next bus load can get in.

While there is only a small selection of wines that are produced on-site from their own vineyard and select vineyards from the Hunter Valley, the wine on offer was very tasty, the hosts pleasant and laid back.

There is a grape vine covered pergola to sit under however the recent rains meant that was a damp affair so a table was parked under the awning with some chairs and the hosts sat with us discussing wine and life as we tasted the offerings.

Plan at least for least 30mins to taste, more time if anyone in the group likes a chat.

The experience of the tasting makes buying a bottle or two an easy choice.

The wine is only available from the cellar door so if you like it buy extra or a case, the small batch means once it's gone that's it.

Ross and Di are great hosts. This isn't a winery like others on the tourist trail where you're charged for tasting and you get a smidgen of wine in yr glass poured by an overworked employee.
They take the time to talk you through their wines and even take you through the production side if you're interested and they generously share their tasting wines with guests.
They make a fantastic port and their other wines are pretty good too and quite unique.
Well worth the 10 minute trip off the highway.
