Curlewis Winery is situated on the Bellarine Peninsula, near Geelong, one hours drive south-west of Melbourne.



Family owned artisan producers Stefano and Leesa produce premium highly-concentrated, complex and elegant wines. The wines are hand-made; minimal intervention and traditional French wine-making principles are used. They aim to
 produce wines of greater concentration and flavour ripeness yet still with the full length of palate that goes with ultra premium wines the world over. They are one of the smallest producers in the Geelong wine region however the high quality sees the wines appear on some of the best wine lists in Australia.



Wines produced are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah/shiraz and Charneis, a blend of the Italian varietal Arneis with Chardonnay.



Curlewis Winery's cellar door 'Appellation' is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am. It is easy to get comfortable in. Outside it looks like a barn; inside it looks like a hunter's cabin got the Queer Eye treatment. Choose the tunes from the stack of LPs. In winter relax by the fire or in warmer weather relax in the garden areas overlooking the vineyard or the beer hops. Peckish? Enjoy delicious sharing platters of the finest charcutterie, cheeses, pizziettas and more.

I was lucky enough to get a visit in just before LD#7 and I had a sensational time. I sat outside under the shade of the trees and slowly worked my way through the tasting.

A great experience with lovely whites and a beautiful range of Pinot Noir that gives you a fantastic look at ranging quality and styles and importantly, one that really showcases the fruit.

I didn't eat but I know the food is delicious because the bigger table near by were singing its praises! Oh and I've visited in the past and had food then and really enjoyed it.

The owners/winemakers are fantastic hosts, all questions answered and I was even given a quick winery tour. The wines are so delicious I simply couldn't leave empty handed, so the Charneis and Reserve Pinot Noir were happily bagged up.

Highly recommended! Thanks team Curlewis, I'll be back soon!!

Can't recommend the wine tasting flight experience highly enough. Set in beautiful gardens your flight is presented in quirky test tubes. Marg and team were very accommodating, knowledgeable and fun.
The cheese platter was delicious and we did not want to leave when our time was up.
My favourite was the champagne, but this winery is well known for its amazing Pinot.

Lovely winery we happened upon whilst on a Saturday drive. Fantastic wines, great food and lovely staff who were very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely visit again!
