Captains Creek rises on a mixed organic farm at Blampied, near Daylesford, at the foot of Kangaroo Hills. Four generations of the May family have run the 80 hectare farm for more than 100 years since 1909.

From the lush pinot noirs to bright chardonnays to thirst-quenching ciders, you will find the best selection of handcrafted organic wines. These include sparkling white and red, unoaked and oaked chardonnay, rose, pinot noir, lagrein and verjuice - a method champenoise sparkling apple cider and two farmhouse style apple ciders.

Captain Creek's inviting cellar door offers delicious lunches served on Saturday and Sunday. The seasonal menu showcases Captains Creek's farm fresh produce direct from the paddock to your plate. In these red volcanic soils, a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, free range chickens, dorpa sheep and black angus cattle grow.

Grab a table on the verandah overlooking the vines and countryside during the warmer months or beside the roaring open fire in winter. Try the popular tasting plate which is laden with a selection of local delicacies including Istra prosciutto, salami and hot chorizo, Captains Creek olives, marinated vegetables and house made dips served with Stella's sourdough bread.

Lovely family run business went last month going again today.
Lovely outlook and views kids can see the 🦙 Alpacas and ' sheep a good tractor to climb my son loved it.
And great to relax and have wine 🍷 while he played a big thumbs up.
Platter was very generous lots of choice and great price .

This is a beaut little winery run by a family. Really enjoyed the set lunch menu - my only qualm was that the meat was a bit dry - I think it was missing a sauce. The dessert was absolutely delectable though so it made up for it :) We ended up taking home the shiraz and the bubbles - can recommend.

We had an absolutely delicious lunch here on a warm autumn day sitting outside on the balcony. The staff were attentive, the food was top class and the organic wine was delicious. I recommend starting with a glass of the sparkling. Will definitely be returning!

What a fantastic afternoon my family and friends had at Captains Creek. I wanted a relaxed, afternoon for them all and that's exactly what I got. The platters of food were fabulous, great drinks and nothing was too much trouble for Carolyn and Doug. The setting was perfect. We will definitely be back!
